Remember how I think that NHTI’s Cross Country coach is awesome? Here’s a picture of him giving us pre-race instructions as I raced another race in Concord on NHTI’s campus.

I headed over to NHTI on a beautiful Friday afternoon after work. I had run into Coach Tom at Panera one morning and he had convinced me to come to Concord and run in the little race.

I knew I could PR despite not having done any speedwork recently. I ran pretty well I think. I was unfortunately unable to catch our local regular Filly winner (and recent Runner’s World feature) despite being only a few strides behind her at the 2 miles mark. Sarah and I did have a great chat afterward about lots of other things.
I still think I can find lots more speed. I just need to get some work in on the track instead of only training long distance.
Edit: For those of you finding your way to my blog looking for Pictures, here’s a link to the race’s professional race photographer’s site: Joe St. Pierre
